October Passenger Demand Rebounds from Weather-Impacted September

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that global passenger traffic demand on October rose 7.2% compared to the same month last year. Capacity grew 6.2% and load factor climbed 0.8 percentage points to 80.8%, which was a record for the month. Domestic and international travel growth largely was in balance. Demand for air travel remains strong and signs point to the broad-based economic upturn continuing into 2018, which is good news for demand for air travel.
